Many community members have holiday shopping on the brain this time of year, and they can find plenty of stocking stuffers in their own neighborhoods. With national Small Business Saturday around the corner on November 26, Southern Nevadans are encouraged to invest in their community by keeping holiday shopping local.
This can have greater impact than some realize: In 2015, spending on Small Business Saturday exceeded $16.2 billion. Roughly $68 of every $100 spent at a community business stays in the local economy, according to a study by Civic Economics.
Did you know you can shop local and promote the arts in Las Vegas at the same time? Surprise performing arts lovers with the gift of the arts, by giving a Smith Center gift card or gift certificate.
These can be redeemed for any Smith Center shows, including music, dance and Broadway productions!
