MASON BATES Devil’s Radio
RAVEL Piano Concerto in G Major
RACHMANINOFF Symphony No. 2 in E minor, Op. 27

MUSIC THAT IS BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL features in this rollicking program that will see fingers fly and pulses race.  Acclaimed American composer Mason Bates’s Devil’s Radio is equal parts darkness and groove. A fantastic opportunity for Las Vegans to experience Bates’s propulsive and engaging music, which is sweeping the country’s concert halls. Maurice Ravel’s first jazz experiences fed directly into his “lighthearted and brilliant” piano concerto performed by charismatic Croatian pianist, Martina Filjak. Considered a triumph of confident craftsmanship and filled with melodic and poetic lushness, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s second symphony is a testament to creative courage.
