Grammy nominated artist, composer and producer Ronnie Foster had led a prolific career performing with the greatest musical legends and composing grooving hits that have lasted the test of time. A master of the Hammond Organ, Foster has shared the stage with icons including Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Kanye West, David Sanborn and many more. With a passionate cult following of his funk and jazz albums, Foster has worked frequently with famous guitarist George Benson, and even composed Benson’s acclaimed hit “Lady” on his album “Breezin’” that earned 10 Grammys.
Honoring his incredible impact on the music industry, Foster recently received the 2016 Jazz Organ Fellowship Lifetime Achievement Award at The San Jose Jazz Festival. There is high anticipation of this year’s release of “REBOOT,” the Ronnie Foster Trio’s live recording from its high-energy 2016 show at Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center.
Back by talented guitarist Jake Langley and drummer Jess Gopen, Foster will set the stage on fire playing a hot blend of jazz, funk, blues, soul and Latin music, taking the trio into uncharted territory while staying true to its roots.
