Buddy Guy with Quinn Sullivan

With his trademark, tortured vocals and rip-roaring fretwork, Buddy Guy has become one of the biggest names in blues history. In his illustrious career, he’s won six Grammy’s®, been named the 13th Greatest Guitarist of All Time by Rolling Stone, and been hailed as the unrivaled king of Chicago blues. And that’s just the beginning. For this performance, Buddy will also be joined by Quinn Sullivan, the 12-year-old blues phenomenon featured on Oprah and The Ellen Degeneres Show. The blues don’t get much better than this. Don’t miss out.
Buddy Guy, guitarist, singer, songwriter
At age 74, Buddy Guy ia a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a major influence on rock titans like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, a pioneer of Chicago’s fabled West Side sound, and a living link to that city’s halcyon days of electric blues. He has received 5 Grammy Awards, 23 W.C. Handy Blues Awards (the most any artist has received), the Billboard magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement, and the Presidential National Medal of Arts. Rolling Stone ranked him in the top 30 of its “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.”
Quinn Sullivan, guitarist
“Ordinary” is not a word one would associate with 9-year-old Quinn Sullivan. The guitarist, singer, songwriter and recording artist from the Boston area already has a resume people much older than him would envy. He has been amazing people with his guitar playing since the young age of three and when Quinn was six, he caught the attention of the Ellen Degeneres Show and was flown out to Los Angeles to be a guest. Since then, Quinn has made an appearance on the Oprah show and has shared the stage with blues legends Buddy Guy and B.B. King and has played at such illustrious venues as The Beacon Theater in New York City, the Orpheum Theater in Boston and Guy’s Chicago club Buddy Guy’s Legends (where Derek Trucks made his first appearance at the age of 13)
