LVLCC Mariachi Festival

250 Mariachi and Ballet Folklorico students from Clark County School Disctict participate in intensive classes and dress rehearsal taught by Walt Disney World’s renowned resident ensemble, Mariachi Cobre.

The festival culminates in a professional concert production where the 90-piece Clark High School Symphony Orchestra joins Mariachi Cobre and student participants in a special performance that is sure to thrill.

Anne Frank, is one of the best known figures of the 20th Century and her famous diary was written between 1941 and 1944 while in hiding from the Nazi’s in occupied Holland. THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, is an impassioned drama about the lives of eight people  living in a concealed storage attic, and captures the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence…..their fear, their hope, their laughter and their grief. Raising thousands of dollars for Golden Rainbow every year, “Ribbon of Life” has become one of the largest HIV/AIDS fundraisers in the state of Nevada. “Ribbon of Life” is an original production unlike any other in Las Vegas, featuring custom production numbers from the best singers, dancers and performers from premiere shows on the Las Vegas Strip

Trumpeter Chris Botti, the world’s largest selling jazz instrumentalist, will perform at The Smith Center in support of his latest album release, Impressions (Columbia Records, April 17, 2012).  Melody has always been at the heart of Botti’s music.  Whether applying the lush sounds of his trumpet to the long, lyrical phrases of a familiar ballad or the arching, rhythmic lines of a jazz improvisation, his solos tell evocative stories, finding their way into the very heart of a song.

Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers – An Evening of Bluegrass and Comedy

Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers swing into Las Vegas in support of their #1 bluegrass album, Rare Bird Alert, which recently received a Grammy® nomination for Best Bluegrass Album. The tour comes on the heels of a banner year that saw Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers winning “Entertainer of the Year” at the 2011 International Bluegrass Association Awards.  In the roughly three years since Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers have been touring together they have delighted audiences at Bonnaroo, New Orleans’ Jazzfest and The Newport Folk Festival to name a few.
