Our most enthusiastic supporters choose to pair their tickets with a gift to the Annual Fund Charter Campaign to experience The Smith Center from both sides of the curtain.
All donors to the Annual Fund become card-carrying Friends of The Smith Center who receive exclusive opportunities including artist meet-and-greets, invitations to private tours and events, and access to the performing arts in personal and exciting ways! The scope of the Annual Fund is varied, but your support will…
- Fill the gap between ticket revenue and operating costs.
- Provide performing arts-based educational opportunities for our students.
- Bring world-class performances to all of our stages.
- Build community with free and low cost events.
$250 assists with the greatest needs of The Smith Center, which includes maintenance work and improvements to our beautiful facilities.
$1,000 enhances our ability to provide technologically advanced services, like those for hearing and visually impaired patrons.
$2,000 makes it possible to offer a six-week workshop – tailored to meet specific goals and led by local teaching artists – in partnership with schools and community organizations.
$2,750 allows for an “all-star” group of ushers and front of house staff for each performance.
$5,000 helps cover fees associated with participating in the National High S
chool Musical Theater Awards program. This community-wide competition and the culmination event at The Smith Center celebrates and raises the profile of theater students, educators and local high school arts programs.
$8,000 enables us to bring in – for an entire week! – a Kennedy Center-affiliated teaching artist to work with more than 200 students and provide arts-based the professional development training for at least 50 teachers, who will continue to use skills with many more students throughout their careers.
$10,000 provides significant support in allowing presentations of world renowned orchestras, dance companies, musicians and performers on all of our stages.
