Scalera starred on Broadway as Penny Pingleton in “Hairspray,” where she began bringing her fascination with Shirley Bassey to the stage with a cabaret concert at New York’s Laurie Beechman Theatre. She teamed up with long-time friend and colleague, Keith Thompson (Jersey Boys, The Composers Showcase) and began developing the concert that not only highlights the music and career of Bassey, but also showcases the spectacular vocal prowess of Scalera, one of Vegas’ most thrilling singers. One of Broadway’s foremost leading men, Santino Fontana’s entertaining performances have become cemented in pop culture with his many film and television roles. The Tony nominated performer is best known for voicing Prince Hans in Disney’s Academy Award-winning animated feature “Frozen,” and starring opposite Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in hit comedy “Sisters.”
Fontana also stars on The CW’s critically acclaimed musical comedy series, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” as well as NBC’s “Shades of Blue” opposite Jennifer Lopez. He has further appeared on hit shows including “The Good Wife,” “Nurse Jackie,” “Royal Pains,” and can be seen in the popular web series, “Submissions Only.”
His many stage performances include recently starring in “God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater” and “1776” as part of the New York City Center’s Encores! series, for which he received rave reviews.
