Clint Holmes and Earl Turner have more in common than being good friends. These highly accomplished, multifaceted entertainers really know how to rock a stage with their contagious high energy, remarkable vocals, vigorous dance moves and boatload of charisma. Ultimately, though, it’s their obvious genuine passion for entertaining that truly ignites a connection with audiences. Spotlight talked to Holmes and Turner about their friendship and upcoming show Nov. 6-8 in Cabaret Jazz.
“Clint and I have been close friends since working together … a few years ago,” said Turner. “We also have a Las Vegas headlining show in the works. While brainstorming for that show, we learned we have mutual admiration for the music of Bill Withers.”
Not only are these two powerhouses beloved, they’re unstoppable. So it’s not hard to imagine that when they join forces in their November show, which will feature the music of Withers, it’s sure to be an explosion of high-powered entertainment.
“This engagement gives us a wonderful opportunity to share some of our favorite songs for the first time together with local audiences!” exclaimed Turner.
Showcasing such classic Wither songs as “Lean on Me,” “Ain’t No Sunshine,” “Just the Two of Us” and more, Holmes said the show unfolds in classic Vegas style.
“Also, it is a Vegas tradition—not done enough anymore—for entertainers to share the stage in a spontaneous way,” he said. “Something this show will be about!”
