The Smith Center’s team members offer warm thanks to all who generously donated to the center this year during Nevada’s Big Give.
This year marked an important step for The Smith Center, a nonprofit organization, as it expanded its participation and spearheaded a full campaign for the annual online crowdfunding event benefitting Nevada nonprofits.
As The Smith Center plans to continue participating for years to come, the success seen this year offers great promise for the future.
Supporting an Arts-Rich Community
Those who donate to The Smith Center help make the performing arts accessible to all in Southern Nevada.
As a nonprofit, The Smith Center relies on philanthropic support to cover 25 percent of its overall operations, including presenting world-class performances, providing education and outreach initiatives, offering accessible ticket prices, and maintaining its campus that serves as a community hub.
The Smith Center presents hundreds of music, theater and dance shows each year, including the best of Broadway productions like “Hamilton,” as well as top performers such as the Royal Philharmonic and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
The center also offers year-round education and outreach programs, impacting over 700,000 Southern Nevada students and teachers — all offered at no cost to schools.
More Giving Opportunities
The Smith Center welcomes community members to explore the many additional opportunities to support its efforts.
As every donation size makes a difference, people can provide donations in many forms.
Just a few include annual Membership, corporate sponsorship and planned giving – a form of support that requires more planning than a cash gift, such as donating artwork or arranging donations in an estate plan.
Regardless of the form of gift, The Smith Center remains grateful to all who support its efforts as Southern Nevada’s Heart of the Arts.
