Ensuring the Arts for any Given Child

The vision of the Southern Nevada Community Arts Team is to create and implement a comprehensive arts education for every child. We are committed to providing access to engaging, diverse arts learning experiences that inspire, enrich, and transform the lives of young people.

In December 2010, Las Vegas became the fourth city nationwide to participate in the Kennedy Center’s Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child program, designed is to assist communities throughout the U.S. in developing and implementing a strategic plan for expanded arts education for kindergarten through 8th-grade students, ensuring equity and access for all.

In collaboration with other community arts organizations, The Smith Center works to increase the capacity of community arts resources to serve more students and educators through arts-based field trips, in-school performances, artist residencies and arts integrated professional development. The Smith Center is committed to providing access to engaging, diverse arts-learning experiences that inspire, enrich and transform the lives of young people.

Through this ongoing effort, Las Vegas remains the largest Any Given Child program in the United States.
