With a lifelong recording and performing career that includes a gold Record and two Grammy Awards — plus nominations for 18 more — jazz keyboardist, arranger and producer Bob James has captivated audiences throughout the world. Recognized today as one of the originators of smooth jazz, James has set lasting musical standards both as a solo artist and by recording and touring the globe for many years with renowned jazz supergroup Fourplay.

A recipient of the George Benson Lifetime Achievement Award, James’ hits like “Angela,” “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” “Nautilus” and “Westchester Lady” have topped contemporary jazz charts. He is also widely known for composing the theme for iconic sitcom “Taxi.”

Through the years, James has collaborated with the top names in jazz, like David Sanborn. James has performed at leading venues around the world, including the Blue Note in New York City and the prestigious Seongnam Art Center in Seoul, Korea.
