Broadway in the H.O.O.D (BITH) kicks off its “Resilience Personified” season with From Broadway With Love: Honoring The Shoulders We Stand On, a benefit concert for Broadway in the H.O.O.D at The Smith Center! This awesome evening of entertainment will feature some of the brightest Broadway stars, Las Vegas legends, and over 300 entertainers from across the world. From Broadway With Love will be a one-night-only fundraiser that will benefit BITH’s mission to Help Others Open Doors in the Las Vegas community and onward and pay tribute to the greats who paved the way, with a very special performance by Tony Award-winner Savion Glover!

BITH serves over two hundred cast members locally and nationally and continues to strive to make its program free to low-cost for members. Thanks to the generosity of The Smith Center, and the community over the last seven years, BITH has been able to cast and produce quality productions that the community has graciously supported. That’s over 10,000 people a year, representing all socioeconomic backgrounds and diverse communities blessed to have access to quality productions throughout Nevada and across the country.

Community support of this year’s concert and future fundraising campaigns is more critical than ever as BITH works to rebuild its program to maintain for years to come. Funds are also needed to support the free Summer Theater Camp, a 10-week intensive training course that will be teaching cast members drama, music and dance. BITH believes it’s their responsibility to cultivate the wealth of potential of young individuals, and inspire them to become leaders who enthusiastically and confidently share what they’ve learned in the arts with their surrounding community.

Savion Glover, known as “the world’s greatest tap dancer,” has wowed audiences around the world with his masterful dancing and choreography over the past four decades!
