With several hit albums landing on Billboard’s top 10 charts, guitar virtuoso Jesse Cook has built a widespread fan base performing his vivacious world music, blending flamenco and jazz with musical traditions he has discovered traveling the globe. Cook has sold over 1.5 million albums worldwide with his bold, original melodies and inventive interpretations of pop hits. He earned the Juno Award (Canada’s equivalent to the Grammy Awards) for Best Instrumental Album, and his acclaimed recordings have received nominations for 10 more.
Trained at the Royal Conservatory of Music at York University, as well as Boston’s renowned Berklee School of Music, Cook prides himself on blending numerous cultural influences. His decades-long performing and recording career includes opening for legends such as B.B. King and Ray Charles, performing on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” and having his music featured at several Olympic games and on numerous episodes of hit show “Sex and the City.” He is a three-time winner of the Canadian Smooth Jazz award for Guitarist of the Year.
