Earning widespread recognition for her role on HBO’s “Treme,” acclaimed violinist Lucia Micarelli hails from an incredible musical pedigree, including classical training at Julliard and studying with classical titans such as Itzhak Perlman and Pinchas Zukerman. Through the years, she has expanded her dazzling musicianship far beyond the classical world to explore jazz, rock and pop.
Audiences can now experience Micarelli performing an eclectic journey through her many musical influences, from classical to jazz to traditional fiddle music and Americana — all bound together by her trademark emotional stage presence and technical wizardry.
Micarelli’s career has continued to soar over the past 10 years, including touring with Josh Groban, Barbra Streisand and Chris Botti. She was even featured in Botti’s PBS special “Live From Boston,” with the pair’s duet garnering more than 5 million views on YouTube. Micarelli has toured with Trans-Siberian Orchestra as a featured violinist and concertmaster, and performed in prominent international venues such as the Hollywood Bowl and Lincoln Center.
