Known as “Las Vegas’ First Lady of Jazz,” critically acclaimed vocalist Michelle Johnson is back at Myron’s Cabaret Jazz with “A Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald,” in celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month. Backed by a stellar ten-piece band led by pianist and Musical Director Bill Zappia (The Terry Fator Show), the evening will feature the great hits of Fitzgerald and will highlight the key points of the jazz legends illustrious career from her early beginnings, to her timeless Songbook recordings and beyond. Enjoy the music of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin and more, with swinging arrangements and soaring vocals.
Michelle’s special guest for this performance is Grammy nominated jazz vocalist Jane Monheit. Monheit’s latest album “The Songbook Sessions: Ella Fitzgerald” is a gorgeous nod to Ella’s repertoire, and the New York Times described Ms. Monheit of having “a voice of phenomenal beauty.”

Michelle Johnson is known for her unique sound, versatile repertoire and sold-out productions.
