After rapidly selling out past performances at The Smith Center, America’s most iconic band The Beach Boys returns by overwhelming demand to perform the group’s torrent of hits that have forever changed the world’s musical landscape.
Still creating and recording today, including releasing a new hit Christmas album in 2018, The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love and Grammy-winning songwriter Bruce Johnston, who, along with Jeffrey Foskett, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Keith Hubacher and Scott Totten, continue the legacy of the world-renowned band. Performing with the group since 1965, Johnson’s vocal work with such legendary artists as Elton John and Pink Floyd have firmly established him among rock’s elite artists.
Touring the globe with an average 150 shows a year, The Beach Boys have sold tens of millions of albums since the group’s explosive launch over 50 years ago, including recording rock ‘n’ roll classics like “Good Vibrations,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Kokomo” and “California Girls.” In addition to serving as the band’s current front man, Love wrote and co-wrote many of the group’s timeless hits.
The Beach Boys has performed at the world’s most prominent stages and events, including performing at the Super Bowl, the White House and the Macy’s Day Parade, as well as appearing on countless worldwide TV shows such as “The Tonight Show,” TNT’s NBA All-Star Game, “The Today Show,” PBS’ “A Capitol Fourth,” “Good Morning America,” “Weekend Today” and “The O’Reilly Factor.”
