Tim joined The Smith Center as Vice President of Development in 2016 following a 35 year career in financial services. As President of Wells Fargo Foundation for 25 of those 35 years, Tim grew the Foundation from a relatively modest local presence to a national leader in corporate philanthropy. In addition to the Foundation and corporate giving, at various points in his career Tim’s responsibilities included employee workplace giving, volunteer programs, financial education, Community Reinvestment Act programs, Supplier Diversity, and a host of other Corporate Responsibility Programs. Always passionate about the arts, Tim has served on the boards of such organizations as San Francisco Ballet, Center Theatre Group, Hammer Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art-Los Angeles, and Palm Springs International Film Festival. Tim’s introduction to The Smith Center began in discussions about the capital campaign in 2008; those discussions culminated in his commitment to provide funding from Wells Fargo at the Founders level. Following his retirement from Wells Fargo, Tim joined The Smith Center as Vice President of Development. Born and raised in Cleveland, Tim graduated from University of Detroit and spent most of his working career in California before relocating to Las Vegas. The recipient of numerous community honors and awards, Tim is most proud of his star on The Palm Springs Walk of Fame, acknowledging his personal and professional community engagement.
